The Friends of Shipley Nature Center

invites you to visit the center in Huntington Central Park. it is open from 9am to 1pm Monday through Saturday. Participate in "Restoration as Recreation" from 9am to noon on the first Saturday of every month.  The parking lot is accessible off Golden West St. between Slater & Talbert Ave.  714-842-4772 or  for more info.


The Huntington Beach Tree Society

works for the planting and preservation of trees in the city. They meet from 7 to 8:30pm the third Wednesday of each month at the Huntington Beach Central Library, downstairs near the coffee shop, 7111 Talbert Ave.. Call Jean Nagy at 714-564-1396 for more info


The Huntington Beach Wetlands Conservancy

A group of private citizens dedicated to saving and restoring the wetlands. They are in need of volunteers to help with plant removal and general cleanup of the wetlands in southeast HB. 9am to noon on the second Saturday of each month.; The group meets in the parking lot of the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center at 21900 PCH. Bring tools, water, a hat & sunscreen. closed toe shoes please. 714-963-2123 for more info.


Bolsa Chica Conservancy Interpretive Center

At Warner & PCH, features a marine aquarium and displays about wetland plants, invertebrates, fish, birds, reptiles, mammals, ecology & restoration. The center is free and open to the public and school groups from 10am to 4pm Tuesday through;Friday,  9am to noon on Saturday & noon to 3pm on Sunday.. Service day is the last Saturday of each month 9am to noon, meeting at the north end of parking lot. 714-846-1114 for more info.



The Bolsa Chica Stewards

The restoration team of the Bolsa Chica Land Trust needs volunteers to help with its native planting project at the Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve.  The stewards plant native plants, remove non-native vegetation, groom trails and water new plants.  They meet from 9am to noon every third Saturday of the month at the Ecological Reserve parking lot on Warner near PCH.  562-920-4215 for more info.


The Bolsa Land Trust

Offers free public tours of the Bolsa Chica Wetlands and mesas at 10am on the third Sunday of each month.  Those interested should meet in the Ecological Reserve parking lot on PCH across from Bolsa Chica State Beach.  In addition, the trust has a table set up from 10am to 3pm at this location with information wildlife, wetlands restoration and how to volunteer.  714-846-1001 for more info.
